and ocean watching right on our beach. It takes only 15-20 minutes
walking distance (or 2 bus stops) to Club Med, which has great snorkeling
(the Palancar Reef begins here) and one of the best beach locations
in the world. |

world famous Mayan ruins are within reach. Explore the rich history
of ancient Mayan archeological sites: (Chitzén Itzá,
Tulum, Uxmal, Cobá); several majestic haciendas; underground
river park Xcaret (a natural sacred paradise with an superb Mayan
night show, or swim there with the dolphins, see a butterfly farm,
turtle hatching station and more). Cancún's Mayan ruins Ruinas
El Rey are less than a mile from our condominium |

Worth
a visit are natural aquarium inlet at Xel-Ha (colorful tropical fish);
colonial cities of Merida and Valladolid; Isla Mujeres (sea turtles);
the Island of Cozumel or Isla Contoy (a bird sanctuary). There is
plenty of fishing; numerous water sports (windsurfing, snorkeling;
scuba diving, water ski, jungle tours on water scooters, sailing,
etc.); horseback riding; alligator farm, and so on. You'll either
need a month to explore it all or come back again! |
